For Workers

Registration, pay and shift applications

How do I register as a worker?
Choose Register in the top navigation, then Register as Worker (or visit /register?type=employee). Complete your profile, confirm you are aged 18 or over, and upload documents in the Documents section of your worker dashboard. Once our admin team verifies your account, employers can see your verification status when reviewing applications.
What documents do I need to upload?
Upload a valid photo ID (passport or driving licence), proof of address, and any qualifications relevant to the shifts you want. Add these in Worker dashboard → Documents. Files are stored securely and reviewed by our admin team before your profile is marked verified.
How do I get paid?
After you complete a shift, submit or confirm your timesheet in the worker dashboard. Once timesheets are approved, payslips are issued by our team. View and download payslips under Worker dashboard → Payslips. Payment is sent to the bank account on your profile according to the payslip schedule.
Can I work multiple shifts per week?
Yes, within platform shift limits and UK working-time rules. ShiftMint tracks daily, weekly and monthly limits in your dashboard to help you stay compliant. Browse open shifts under Browse Shifts and track confirmed work in My Calendar.

For Employers

Posting shifts, pricing and hiring

How do I post a shift as an employer?
Register as an employer (/register?type=employer), then complete business verification, accept service terms (Employer dashboard → onboarding), and add bank details for invoicing. When your account is verified, open Create Shift in the employer panel, add date, time, location, pay rate and requirements, then publish. Review applications under Applications.
How much does it cost to use ShiftMint?
Employers are charged a platform service fee on completed shifts (currently 10% of the shift charge, configurable in admin billing settings). Invoices are raised after approved timesheets with payment terms such as Net 14 unless agreed otherwise. Workers do not pay a platform fee to apply for shifts.
How do I verify workers are qualified?
Our admin team verifies worker identity, documents and skills before marking accounts as verified. When you review applications in the employer panel, you see each worker's profile, verification status, ratings and work history before confirming cover.
Can I save favourite workers?
Yes. Use Favorites in the employer dashboard to save workers you have worked with. This makes it faster to invite reliable cover when you create new shifts.
